It is always magical seeing a butterfly fitter around the flowers. There are so many colours and patterns but I especially love the Holly Blue. So much so that I gave the powder blue wings a brush of metallic watercolour so that it shimmers in the light.
The Holly Blue Butterfly has taken a supporting role in many of my larger pieces, but this time they are taking centre stage! ‘Spring Beauty’ is part of the ‘Mini Beasts’ series of six original art works.
The original is sold in a pink wooden tray frame. Dimensions 18 × 18cm.
